GFWC Gurus

My life was a carousel of frequent moves when I was younger finding myself in a new home about every year and a half or so.  However, since I’ve been married I have lived in my current hometown since 1973. After living here for a few years I became involved with my local GFWC Junior Club.

These women have been like family to me, a family of sisters. Some older and some younger and many of them mentors.  After taking on leadership roles in my club I became involved with the state organization
and through the years have met some wonderful women. Many are my current GFWC Gurus.

My circle of friends in my local club have advised me and I hope they feel the same of me. We all help each other navigate through our leadership roles in GFWC-NH.

I’m sure my list of mentors will grow through the years and I hope other women are as lucky as I to have similar experiences with women helping women.

Carol, you always inspire me with all your positions in GFWCand the work you accomplish. All members can come to you with questions and you can answer them. I am proud to have you as a friend and fellow GFWC member. I have gotten to know you better through book club every month. We have gone to some conventions together and that was a bonding experience also. I look forward to reading your blog. Keep up the great work. Karen

Carol, you set the bar. Seeing the things you do inspires me to do more for our community. You have deeply influenced my direction in volunteerism and I thank you!

Carol – once again, in your quiet, unassuming manner, you have stepped forward and are leading clubwomen into a new GFWC venture. There aren’t many people whose blog I would take time to read – in fact, yours is the first for me. I knew you would have something worth saying. Thank you for your on-going mentoring and friendship.

I just found this link while joining the GFWC facebook group, so i thought I’d check it out. As usual, I found it very interesting and will enjoy coming back frequently to see the latest blogs.
As like, the post before me, yours was the first I read.
